Use Cases

By calendar platform

Most room products connect to your calendar. Visitor Management uses Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for host directory lookup — not Exchange room mailboxes.

Platform Room displays & status boards Meeting Room TV Visitor host lookup
Microsoft 365 Office 365 room displays Yes — Teams, Meet, Zoom Yes
Google Workspace Google Workspace room displays Yes — Meet, Teams, Zoom Yes
Exchange (EWS) Yes — on-premises room calendars Uncommon; see Meeting Room TV No for visitor host search
No calendar (Dibs) Open reservation without M365/Google — room displays N/A N/A

Common building combinations

Many sites deploy more than one product:

  • Door display + in-room TV — room display outside, Meeting Room TV on the conference-room screen (separate display keys, often one licence each per room).
  • Room displays + lobby status board — tablets at doors feed a status board in reception (status boards are read-only; booking still happens at the door).
  • Room displays + visitor kiosk — same Meeting Room 365 app on tablets, different display keys: room calendar vs visitor kiosk. Visitor check-in does not use the Meeting Room TV Chrome extension.
  • Floor map — interactive wayfinding on a display or status board; see floor maps.
